October Monthly Gathering

Hey Coaches!

It’s time for our October Monthly Gathering! The discovery of the month is “God the Father.” We have a perfect Father who can always be trusted!

You can start now by praying these over kids, families, yourselves, your co-coach, and Kid’s Directors/Kid’s Team:

– God, thank You that You are our perfect Father in heaven who can always be trusted.

– Will you help us believe that, experience that, and live as if it were true?

– Declare the attributes of God.

Here’s a snapshot of the gathering:

  • Coach Huddle | 5:45pm
  • Doors Open | 5:55pm (this is 5 minutes earlier this year!)
  • Pizza/Ice Breakers | 6:00pm
  • Culture Set Up | 6:05pm
    •  We will remind kids what our monthly gathering is
    • Give them tips of how to engage with their whole heart
    • Set expectations of the culture we want to experience this year
  • Game Time “Spoons” | 6:09pm
    • Here’s how to play: This game, every player will need 4 playing cards and arrange the spoons in the center (1 less spoon than the amount of players playing) to start. The remaining cards will be given to the coach starting the round.
      • When the Kid’s Director releases the room to play, players will take turns trying to collect a 4 of a kind.
      • A coach takes the top card of the remaining deck and chooses to either keep it and switch one of their cards or pass it next person.
      • Each player repeats this and discards the card to the left. The last player places their card in a trash pile.
      • Cards are picked up and passed quickly around the table until someone gets 4 of a kind. Once a player gets 4 of a kind, they grab a spoon from the middle and everyone then tries to grab a spoon from the table. Without a spoon that person “loses” for that round.
      • Play as many rounds as time allows!
  • Leadership Essential #1 (Leaders are active listeners) and Table Time | 6:21pm
  • Discovery Video (God the Father – We have a perfect Father in heaven who can always be trusted) | 6:31pm
  • Leadership Lab | 6:42pm
    • Each Kid will have a baggie full of orange, purple, and blue slips of paper. Once released, you as a coach will help kids match 8 attributes of God (orange) to their definition (Purple). This is done as a team!
    • Once the kids have matched the orange and purple papers, using the blue papers kids will write how they can apply the attributes of God to their life. It’s okay if kids write their applications to their life, since this is going to be done as a team.
      • Example: Promise Keeper – God always does what He says He will do – We can trust everything He says
  • Prayer | 7:03pm
  • Free Time | 7:05pm
    • Level up Store is back! We celebrate what we want to replicate.
