September Monthly Gathering

Hey Coaches! 

It’s time for our first monthly gathering of the year! Blog Posts are meant to equip your hands so you can be in tune with what God is going to do this month! The best thing you can do is join us in praying for kids. 

You can start now by praying these over kids, families, yourselves, your co-coach, and Kid’s Directors/Kid’s Team:

– God, thank You for Kids Leadership!

– Would you help us be open to the new & different ways You want to reveal Yourself to us this year?

– We give our year to You – thank You that You are good to us!

Here’s a snapshot of the gathering:

• Coach Huddle | 5:45pm 

• Doors Open | 5:55pm (this is 5 minutes earlier this year!)

• Pizza/Ice Breakers | 6:00pm

• Culture Set Up | 6:05pm
  •  We will remind kids what our monthly gathering is
  • Give them tips of how to engage with their whole heart
  • Set expectations of the culture we want to experience this year

• Game Time “It’s Me!” | 6:09pm

• • Here’s how to play: This game, every player will need 5 dice. Let me explain:

• • • Players hold all five dice in their hands. The Kid’s Director will call out a number (1-6). 
    • When the Kid’s Director say  “Go”  everyone rolls at the same time. Be careful to keep your dice just in front of you. 
    • Put all your dice with the number the Kid’s Director called aside, collect the remaining dice and quickly roll again. (You do not have to wait for others to roll again. Everyone rolls together only on the first roll.) Keep rolling until all of your dice show the called number.
    • If you are the first player to get all 5 dice to show the same number, you’re going to yell out “it’s me!”. Each pod will have 1 winner each round. 

• Leadership Essential #1 (Leaders honor their leaders) and Table Time | 6:21pm

• Discovery Video (the Bible teaches me who I am, who God is, and what I’m created to do) | 6:31pm

• Leadership Lab | 6:42pm

• • You will have 3 different color stacks of post-it notes at your table, so as a pod read through Ephesians 2:4-10 and on each color of post-it notes – write down on one sticky what the verses say about who you are. Another sticky, write down what they say about who God is, and then the last sticky find and write what they say about what you were created to do. 

• • • After the kids have written on their notes, your pod gets up and sticks their sticky notes on a larger post-it note! 
    • Then talk about it as a pod!
